Must Binge Christmas Movies For Christmas Eve & Day

Here Is My List Of 10 Of My Favorite Christmas Movies To Binge Out On

This year is looking very different than in years in the past. If your normal plans for Christmas eve and day aren't happening this year spend your time with a movie marathon. Usually, I spend Christmas with my grandparents that live at the beach, but I will be home for Christmas this year. I will be spending my Christmas eve with my boyfriend and his family watching movies and playing board games. Regardless, if it's just you this year or if you're spending Christmas with the rest of the household watching Christmas movies will be a great way to spend Christmas eve and day. I put together a list of must binge movies to fill your Christmas with. I had a really hard time to not include every Christmas classic and to keep the list short. I have included 10 of my favorite Christmas movies that I love to watch every year. I wanted to have a little bit of everything in my list of ten. I have classic black and whites, newbies, rom coms, and at least one animated movies for all ages to enjoy. These are all great movies to throw on while your finishing up wrapping or are cooking something yummy. Or put one or a few of these on while unwrapping gifts in the morning to have festive background noise. There a still a few days left to cram in any movies you haven't watched yet before Christmas time is over. Pop the pop corn and make some coco to get cozy with while watching your favorite holiday movies.

Home Alone

Easily a top ten Christmas Classic! It is never Christmas without watching Home Alone at least once! Watching Kevin pull tricks on the burglars is just hilarious! I think he definitely would have done great at a job in home security. If you haven't watched it yet make sure to throw this on during your Christmas count down. Make this a marathon and follow up with Home Alone 2: Stuck in New York. Although, the first movie is always the best one!

National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation

This is probably on of the most quotable Christmas movies that has been created. "Merry Christmas! The shitter was full!" makes me laugh every time. This is a great adult Christmas movie when you're not in the mood for a kid friendly movie. If you need a break from the family friendly animated rated G or PG movies, this movie will save the day. Although, I watched this movie during my childhood and thought it was hilarious even if some of the jokes went over my head. This is a great movie to watch Christmas eve night right before going to bed. Make some adult eggnog and munch on cookies while watching this movie before calling it a night.

Christmas In Connecticut

This classic is a movie I look forward to every year. This cute little Christmas love story will give you laughs and smiles. If you're looking for a silly movie to put on while baking or any last minute wrapping, this movie is perfect. You must watch this if you love old black and whites with the usual wacky story lines. Also you can't bet that beautiful Hollywood set with the picture perfect fresh snow. Although, this was just a set it still has the look of a beautiful New England backdrop covered in pure white snow. Stanwyck is fabulous as always in this Christmas classic.

Holiday Affair

This is another classic black and white film to follow up with. I grew up watching this movie for Christmas every year which became one of my favorites to continue to watch. This is another one of those silly wacky story lines that can be found in these old Hollywood movies. A perfect meet-cute and a silly story to follow, what more do you need from a rom com Christmas movie! This strong single mother gets more than she asked for this year for Christmas. With two proposals she's got to figure out what she really wants for Christmas.

The Holiday

Speaking of a great Christmas rom com you need to watch The Holiday before the season is over. This is a must watch with the rest of the family for some quality time. Or throw this on and watch by yourself when you need a little personal time with a glass of spiced wine. This cute little love story is probably one of my favorite romantic Christmas movies. Also the beautiful snowy scenery in England is picture perfect with the little cottage in the snow. I also love all of the cute stories showing different forms of love between family, friends, and significant others. I am also a sucker for a any movie with Camron Diaz.

Elf

If this movie doesn't put you in a good mood, then I don't know what will. This is the definition of silly Christmas movie. Spend Christmas eve or day curled up on the sofa with hot coco watching this classic. Although, it is only 17 years old this is a absolute Christmas classic. I probably watch this movie at least 10 times every year during the holidays.

Arthur Christmas

If you are looking for a cute and heart warming story while still having its funny moments for the whole family to enjoy, then this is it. This is another newer Christmas classic I look forward to ever year. This cute family store will leave your heart all warm and fuzzy afterwards. This time Christmas is saved by the whole Claus family with the youngest son in the lead. A sweet story about family and bravery will be a great movie for everyone in the family to enjoy. I don't know about you, but nothing is better than a Christmas animated movie to end the day with.

A Christmas Story

You'll definitely be able to find this movie one at least once on Christmas day. We usual go for the all day marathon every year. The scene of Ralphie walking down in the bunny suit gets me ever time. This is another Christmas classic that has some pretty great quotable moments. It's not Christmas until you've watched this movie by the Christmas tree lights or by the leg lamp.

Scrooged

If you are a Billy Murry fan than this is an absolute must watch this Christmas eve. This more modern rendition of a Christmas Carol will have you laughing your pants off. I love this movie and it is such a fun take on such a wonderful classic. Obviously, A Christmas Carol is a must watch ever Christmas which ever rendition you prefer, but if you have the time I definitely recommend squeezing this one in. This version still has all of the meaningful moments and life lessons, but with a lot of funny moments in-between. I just showed this to Zach a few days ago for the first time and he absolutely loved it. If you haven't seen this movie yet Christmas eve or day is the perfect time to sit down to a new movie.

Dr. Seuss How The Grinch Stole Christmas

Now, this is the most quotable Christmas movie that has ever been made. My friends and I quote this movie all year long not just around Christmas. I have probably seen this movie a 100 times this year so far. This is a wonderful movie to put on in the background on Christmas day when opening presents. Everyone has seen this movie so many times that it will be great to just have on in the background for a nice festive touch. When looking for a great movie to play for the whole family to enjoy this is a must. Make it a whole marathon and follow this movie up with the Original cartoon and the new version from Illumination.

I can't think of a better way to spend Christmas eve and day than to binge watch movies. There are so many wonderful classics and fantastic newbies to fill your days with. This is a wonderful way to slow down and relax with family during Christmas. Comment below what your favorite movie was in this list and if you have a movie you watch every Christmas eve or day. Hope everyone is having a wonderful holiday season.
