Holiday Punch

Let's Spice Up Christmas This Year With This Delicious Party Punch

This punch has become a Christmas tradition in my house very quickly. I found this recipe on Facebook a couple years ago from Delish. As soon as my mom and I made this for the first time we fell in love immediately with this cocktail. Since, her and I have very different taste in wine we compromised with a semi-sweet Riesling. Its not super sweet and not bone dry either which makes for a wonderful sangria. I would also recommend using a Moscato if you are serving for a group of people. I prefer to use a wine that is semi-sweet or semi-dry when I am making punch for a bunch of different people that have different taste in wines. A Pinot Grigio and Chardonnay would also work well too, if you like dry whites. If you are making this recipe for yourself you can totally make this with your favorite white wine. When it comes to the cranberry juice make sure whatever bottle you pick up at the store is NOT cranberry cocktail because there is a big difference. Cocktail is going to have a butt load of unwanted sugar where as regular cranberry juice won't have all that extra junk in it. I like to use Ocean Spray 100% cranberry juice with no added sugar. If you want even a lower sugar count pick up Ocean Spray's Unsweetened Pure Cranberry. For a great seltzer brand to pick up I recommend Polar or Deer Park. They are both natural and low on sugar. Go plain or get a yummy flavor to complement the rest of the flavors in the punch. I love to use Polar's Cranberry lime to go with the rest of the cranberry flavors. I would also recommend using their Pomegranate or Cranberry Clementine for your holiday punch. This recipe is so yummy and as you can tell it is very easy to customize to your own taste. Make it your own with your favorite white wine and favorite seltzers. If you already have a favorite punch for Christmas, save this recipe and use it for New Year's eve! Delish has a bunch of wonderful holiday punches for you to try if this one isn't calling your name.

Add fruit to pitcher

Pour wine, juices & seltzer over fruit

Stir & Cover

Refrigerate until chilled, about 1 hour

Serve & Enjoy!

I have been making this punch for Christmas for 3 years now and I look forward to it every year. We also love to serve this for New Years Eve as well when we have friends over. Garnish the cups with thin apple slices for a cute decorative touch and for a great snack to go with the cocktails. That is another reason why I love making sangria for parties. You get a super yummy cocktail and a fruity snack to munch on with it! If you prefer a non-alcoholic sangria this can easily become a born again virgin. Take out the wine and add in sparkling cider or an alcohol-free wine. You could also use Sprit or even the Cranberry Spirt might be really good and will go with the flavors. This super easy and quick recipe is great to serve for all your winter and holiday gatherings! Even if you're staying home for Christmas this year that just means more punch for you! Comment below if you will be trying this punch for Christmas! Hope everyone is having a fantastic holiday so far!
