Here's a fun Couples Costume Recreation For You & Your Partner
I've always been a big Scooby Doo fan but, lately I've been watching shows and movies nonstop. Scooby and Shaggy will make for a super groovy couples costume. You can go to Halloween costume stores and pick up costumes or you can easily recreate this costume on your own with your clothes. I put together a couple different outfit options for Scooby since there are a few ways to go about the costume. I also added a few fun accessories to add even more fun to the costume. Get creative and have tons of fun making this costume with your partner or your BFF. You can make this duo costume look super cute regardless of your clothing style.
Shaggy
Sun Faded V-Neck T-Shirt
This might be the perfect shirt I have ever seen for a Shaggy costume. Even down to the color is a perfect match. Any green shirt that is laying around in the closet will be great too. This shirt is a good basic to have as well if you need to purchase one for this costume. If it's cold and you plan on being outside you can always opt for a long-sleeve or sweater. Layering is great if you'll be out trick or treating. Put a brown jacket or cardigan over the shirt to keep with the color scheme. Or layer with a white long sleeve underneath the t-shirt like in Scooby-Doo 2: Minsters Unleashed (2004) Shaggy.
Men's Levi's® 505™ Regular-Fit Stretch Jeans
Any pair of brown kakis will look great with your Shaggy look. Technically his pants are more redish brown and are bootcut but, I don't think you'll be finding a pair like that in stores. To keep it simple any shade or cut of brown pants will still be groovy. If you live somewhere warm feel free to swap these out for a pair of cargo shorts.
CHUCK TAYLOR ALL STAR HI TOP SNEAKER
Black sneakers will go perfectly with this costume and you'll be comfortable all night long regardless what your plans are this Halloween. Black dress shoes will look good too if you don't have sneakers in black. If you don't have any black shoes don't worry just wear your favorite pair that will keep your feet comfortable all night long.
SCOOBY-DOO THE MYSTERY MACHINE CREW SOCKS
I found these and thought they would be so cool for the costume. Accessories are always my favorite part about a costume. Get creative and find some fun little touches to add to your Shaggy costume. These socks will also keep your feet warm if you plan on being outside for the majority of the night. Wear these all year long to embrace your inner child. You don't even need the excuse of making a Mystery Inc. costume to want to buy these fun socks.
Keebler Scooby-Doo! Cinnamon Baked Graham Cracker Sticks - 11oz
When going out with Scooby you need to have Scooby snacks on hand. Bring these with you to the costume party and you'll have snacks all night long. You and Scooby will have plenty of snacks to keep you full all night long or at least for a few minutes. Keep them hidden in a coat pocket so you don't have to share or share them with all your friends.

Aerie Boyfriend Long Sleeve Cropped T-Shirt
I mentioned at the beginning I wanted to include a few different suggestions for Scooby because they're so many great choices depending on your own personal style. Keep it simple and throw on a brown long sleeve shirt. Any shade of brown will work. If you live somewhere where it's still warm in October you can use a t-shirt. Or if it's going to be super cold wear a brown sweater or Sherpa. Layering these items will also look super groovy and you'll be nice and warm if you're going to be spending the night outside.
Doublju Women's Long Sleeve V-Neck Stretchy Bodysuit Tops (Plus Size Available)
If you want a more trendy or chic look pick a brown bodysuit. This can easily be paired with brown leggings, pants, or skirt to fit your style. Throw a jacket over the bodysuit to keep warm all night long.
BROWN SKATER DRESS
If you just want to throw a dress on and call it a night this idea is great. Any brown dress will look perfect for this look. To stay warm put on a pair of leggings or tights and grab a jacket or cardigan. For any of these tops regardless which one you pick you can cut and tape black construction paper spots on the back to look like Scooby. If you have a top you don't care about and just got for this costume you can also use a hot glue gun to glue the spots on to make sure they don't fall off. They also make fabric glue as well which has a pretty strong hold.
Bottoms
OFFLINE Real Me High Waisted Legging
Why wear regular pants or jeans when you can be cozy in warm leggings. You'll have plenty of room in these leggings to eat all the Halloween treats your heart desires. If you prefer a pair of bottoms with more structure you can always wear a pair of kakis or brown dress pants. If you don't have anything in brown you can always wear black leggings or jeans instead.
High-Waisted Corduroy Utility Pencil Skirt for Women
A brown skirt will look super cute for your Scooby costume if you don't want to wear pants. I mean why wear pants if you don't have to, right! Pair it with leggings and tights to keep warm if you worry about being cold. To add a fun twist you can wear a brown tutu because why not. I'm a sucker for a tutu and Halloween is the perfect excuse anyone needs to wear one. Any shape, style, or length skirt for this costume will be super cute.
Accessories

Brown boots are a super cute shoe choice for this costume. If you prefer to wear sneakers or flats they will be cute too. Make sure regardless what you wear you'll be comfortable all night. Your shoes don't have to be brown just grab your favorite shoes and head out the door.
Grosgrain Ribbon 5/8in x 21ft Aqua - Hand Made Modern®
If you can find a Scooby collar in store that's great but, if not or you want to make your own I got you. You can make your own collar no matter what your crafting skills are. For the collar you'll want to grab a tiffany blue ribbon. I thought this one seemed like the perfect thickness and the rib design looked like an actually collar. You can also get blue felt as well and you can sew on or hot glue on velcro to take the collar on and off. Or with the ribbon you can just tie it in a bow if you want a sew free project.
SD Charm Logo
For your charm on the collar you'll most likely will want to get blue and yellow felt. Just take your time drawing and cutting the design out and it will turn out perfect. Make a diamond shape in the yellow and a smaller diamond in the blue felt. Next, take more yellow felt and draw out S and D in marker first. Then cut out the letters and clue everything together to make the charm. Take left over yellow felt and make a loop and glue the ends closed around the blue collar. Finally clue the charm to the yellow loop to finish your collar and dog charm!
Dog Accessory Set - Apparel Accessories - 2 Pieces
We have finally come to the last piece of this costume to finish your Scooby look. You can't be the coolest pup without your ears and tail. If you can find ears that actually look like Scooby's that's great but, if not any dog ears will get the job done. If you prefer to make your own ears so they look like Scooby's go for it! Grab a brown or black headband and construction paper. For the ears you'll need brown and creamy pink shades. Cut out the brown in the shape of Scooby's ears then make the same shapes but, smaller in the other color. Glue the cream on top of the brown construction paper and then glue the ears on to the head band. End this costume with a little make up on your face to look like a dog and you're ready for a night of Halloween Fun.
