You Scream, I Scream For Fun Pants!

I don't know about you but, I'm living for the fun pant trend! Here are 8 pairs you need to check out for your summer wardrobe!

What exactly are "fun pants"? This is a term I use to describe a pair of pants that can be flowy to even a jogger style that have a fun pattern or design on them. The best part to a fun pant is how comfy they are! Typically they will have a elastic waist band and can also be tied around the waist. They are fabulous for all seasons since typically they are a nice light weight and airy fabric. I absolutely love to wear them in the summer with a spaghetti strap to give a wonderful beachy look. I got the idea to make this post after I watched a clothing haul video Carrie Dayton posted a week ago where she got a bunch of new clothes from Nasty Gal. In the video she talked about her love for a fun pant and if you haven't checked her out yet on YouTube you need to head over to her channel after you finish reading this post!

I'm going to share 8 pairs of fun pants that I found from different stores that I thought were summer must haves! I picked from a bunch of different stores that cater to different styles and price points. I will also include all of their product information and a link to the websites. Each pair of pant will include some outfit inspiration on how to make a whole cute look and rock summer even if your'e just chilling in quarantine or picking up carry out on your beach vacation.

1) AE High-Waisted Tapered Leg Pant from American Eagle is a fun straight leg style with a casual pj pant feel. The pants cost $39.99 on AE's website. My favorite feature about the AE pants is the paper bag look the drawstring tie waist creates. These are available only in this one color which is called Multi. They come in sizes XXS-XXL online. These pants can easily be paired with a white t-shirt and brown sandals for a quick run to the store or meeting a friend for coffee. They can also be dressed up with a strappy lose fitting blouse and a little heel in a bright fun color to add a pop to the outfit. You can finish off with gold dangle earring and a hair scarf to pull the outfit together for a summery date night look. That is if there is even a place open for date night this summer, even not it's great to wear for Chinese carry-out!

2) Liquid Blue from The Elephant Pants is a harem pant style. This pair goes for $37.99 on their website. I own a pair in a different color and pattern so I can testify myself how cozy these pants are. They are one of the most comfortable pants I own in my closet. They have a very stretchy waist and are super

soft. They are nice and light weight which makes them great to still be able to wear in summer. They come in one size fits all and are available in multiple patterns, colors, and cuts. These pants are wonderful to just lounge around in while watching movies or practicing yoga in. You can throw a plunge bodysuit on with them to dress them up for a cute going out outfit. They can also pair it with a crop t-shirt for a more relaxed look. Either style will look great with a simple pair of sandals or a open-toe block heel. The best part about these pants is that The Elephant Pants donates money to help save the elephants!

3) Mid-Rise Wide-Leg Linen-Blend Pants from Old Navy shown in the color Feather. This pair comes in 7 different shades and designs. I actually ordered

this exact pair for myself I loved them

so much! They are orderable in sizes XS-XXL and cost $25-$30 depending on the design you order them in. They are available in regular, tall, and petite sizes. I'm a sucker for a cute pair of linen pants because of the laid back beach vibe they give off. They also have a great thick elastic waist band which is always great for when your'e planing on eating a lot of food on the board walk. I can't wait for them to come in the mail so I can start creating fun looks with them. For a great trendy look these will be great with a fun tub top or a one-shoulder tank top. For a more classic beach look a simple linen button down will look adorable as well. These are great to even throw over a bathing suit or to get cozy at home after a day spent on the beach.

4) High-Waisted Tie-Belt Soft Pants are another pair from Old Navy. They are shown in the Black Floral. This pair comes in one other design as well as in a solid brown tone. They are offered in

sizes XS-XXL and are priced at $39.99. They are also available in regular, tall, and petite. It's a little hard to tell by the image but these also have a belt that ties in a bow in the front with a stretchy waist band. These pants had me at high waisted because I mean who doesn't love a good pair of high waisted pants/ jeans! Everyone needs at least one pair of bold pattern pants, just look how fun this design is! These pants are great when paired with a plan color top to help counterbalance the pants and make them the vocal piece of the outfit. Whats great about all of the colors in the pants is that you can match anyone of them with a simple tank of spaghetti strap in the same colors! Then pair it off with a fun wedge or a white tennis shoe to finish this fun look! This is great look for going on a picnic or an ice cream date with friends!

5) Volcom Coco Beach Pants from Pacsun in the shade White. They also come in a floral design. They come in sizes XS-XXL and are priced at $55. Does these pants remind anyone else of the changing tents that were on beaches in old movies!? Because they do for me and I love it! I absolutely love the shade of light pink next to the white it's just such a beautiful soft and cheery look. Once again these pants would look so cute to wear at the beach. Super cute for fun activities in the evening such as going on the boardwalk, playing mini golf, or for happy hour. I like the idea of pairing it with a white halter like they did but, personally I think a halter bodysuit with a v-neck cut would look adorable. Another cute top to pair with these pants would be a baby t-shirt and a big scrunchy in the hair to finish of the look. These flowy pants always look nice with a fitted shirt to help emphasis your shape and beautiful waistline. These pants look so cute with the chunky white sneakers. Some other shoes you can pair with the pants could be a sandal or a strappy heel if you want to dress up the pants a little bit.

6) UO Aurara Printed Pull-On Pant from Urban Outfitters in the shade Black Multi. They come in one other shade which is the red multi in a stripe design. I love the look with the thick waist band and jogger style leg combo. Also once again the high waist coming in to save the day! They are on UO's website for $49.00 and comes in sizes XS-XL. I can't get over how cute the little designs are on the pants! These are great if you want to change up our wardrobe but, don't want pants that have a crazy bold print on them and want something more subtle. These pants would look amazing with a top with a high neckline and a low cut back for a girls night out for drinks. For a more dressed down look to lay around in you can pair it with black bandeau or tub top. These pants are great for when you want to go for that laid back boho look.

7) Leaf It to Chance Wide Leg Pants from ModCloth. They come in this sunshine yellow and I'm obsessed with it! Once again killing it with the flattering high waisted look! These are more on the higher price range at $75 which if your'e familiar with this brand you know they are a little more expensive. The sizing ranges from 4-22 (UK sizes). I'm pretty sure if you looked up fun beachy trendy pants this is would be the image you would get. Not only is this print adorable in pants but it also comes in a halter top. Which when you pair them together it gives an adorable jumper look! I couldn't help but add, a picture of the top because it makes such a cute outfit!

These pants would also look amazing with a spaghetti strap top that has a deep v cut in the front and in the back of the top. Top of the look with a floppy hat, dangle earrings, and a chunky wood heel like in the image or a wedge for a gorgeous beach look. 8) Jones Beach Wide Leg from Free People. These are shown in indigo combo. They also come in another color called army combo. They come in sizes XS-L and cost $78. These are also on the more high priced end but, at the same time I was surprised I found something from Free People under $100. They also have the smallest size range of all of the pants I'v looked at. They are still super cute and have a great relaxed beach look for all of my fellow beach bums. These are literally the best for throwing over your bathing suit or for a cozy pair of lounge pants. They also have those fantastic deep pockets and this girl loves her pocket access. If you pair this with a flowy tank crop top it would make a super cute casual beachy look. Or you can pair it with a boxy distressed cut off tee. They would both look so cute with sandals and a thick infinity headband to pull back those beach waves.
